My mom isn't a fan of the photo I posted earlier, so hopefully she'll like this one better. It's what I would look like if I were a Simpsons character (designed on the Simpsons Movie website). The eyes are a bit big, but then again, it's a cartoon character.
I ran 10 miles with Kushal yesterday. I'm pretty sure that's significantly further than I've ever run before and both Kushal and I were impressed with how well I held up ("annoyingly in shape" were Kushal's words =).
Much to my surprise I woke up this morning feeling perfectly fine with the exception of my knees, which are killing me. I've regretted living on the 5th floor of a walk-up for the last day, let me tell you.
Enough people still ask that it seems necessary to write another post explaining the title of this blog. My father and grandfather are both big fans of a Danish mathematician named Piet Hein who wrote a series of short, light poems called Grooks in the '50s and '60s. (!) is an allusion to the Grook:
